Our story

From rugby & netball to 9 sports.

University of Queensland Interfaculty Competitions Inc. (UQIC) is a not-for-profit, student volunteer organisation established in the early 1970s to promote healthy competition between the faculties of UQ via a sporting medium.

Following a period of revitalisation in 2007, UQIC relaunched interfaculty rugby and netball before steadily expanding , adding extra sports in 2011 and again in 2024.

Today, UQIC strives to give students the chance to form relationships, socialise and learn from each other, all while enjoying the benefit of healthy activity.
