Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. While UQIC is built around interfaculty competition, teams may include students from different faculties unless otherwise specified for a particular competition.

  • Yes. Players are welcome to participate in multiple sports, provided game times do not clash and separate registrations are paid for each sport.

  • All competitions are held on University of Queensland St Lucia campus sporting facilities, unless otherwise specified.

  • Wet weather procedures vary by sport. Updates regarding cancellations or changes will be communicated via the UQIC sport specific Facebook groups.

  • Yes. All competitions include a finals series following the regular season. Finals formats vary by sport and division but either start in round 7 or 8 depending on competition size.

  • No. Non registered players are not permitted to participate in any UQIC competition under any circumstances.

  • Yes. Substitute players are permitted subject to the following conditions:

    1. Substitute players must be fully registered UQIC participants.

    2. Substitute players must be registered in another team competing in the same sport and on the same night.

    3. All substitute players must receive approval from UQIC via official social media channels prior to the commencement of the first game of the night.

    Substitutions that do not meet these requirements are not permitted.
